Dancejathre, India’s First ever dance fair, is one of its kind with a wide range of activities being held from dawn to dusk. A brain child of Smt. Vyjayanthi Kashi, dancejathre is the signature festival of Shambhavi School of Dance.
Dancejathre has received an overwhelming response with its previous editions held in 2008, 2009, 2011, 2013, 2015, 2017, 2018 and 2019 in Bangalore from the public, art lovers, artists, press and electronic media. We had over 3000 visitors, 300 artists from different parts of the World and 25 exhibitors participating each year.
With a mission to bring various forms of dances, right from traditional to folk closer to art lovers and common man, dancejathre offers a wide range of activities to suit all age groups and interest groups.
Competitions for budding talents and youngsters, diverse workshops by maestros in the field for those eager to learn and performances by well known dancers to brighten up the spirits of the audience are being organized. Added attractions will be stalls, exhibition and a unique dancer’s wall which will exhibit brochures of various dancers from all over India. The 9th edition of dancejathre introduces for the very FIRST time, *Nrityashodha Re-search in Dance* with lecture demonstrations, *Making of Yakshagana Jewellery*, exclusive workshops for children of age group 10-15 years.
